Although the summer heat is accelerating by the day, preparations for the new football season have already started and moving along smoothly. With the new committee busily working hand in hand with First Team coach Oliver Spiteri to form the new squad, the next few weeks will be crucial for the finalising of deals for new players.
However, some players from last season's squad will not retained - Melvin Farrugia, Luke Stivala, Terence Vella and Julian Vella. Julian Vella has joined Tarxien Rainbows, while the other three are still considering offers from other clubs. All these players were on loan with the club for one season.
Lee Grima, a free agent, will again be donning the Mosta blue shirt for the coming season, while Ryan Deguara will be coming back from a one-season loan spell at Premier League side Qormi. Ryan's return will be a welcome boost to the squad.
Coach Oliver Spiteri and his new assistant Ramon Zammit yesterday started with the pre-Pre Season training, taking on group of five to six players every day for individual training. These sessions are being held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
In the meantime, work on the artificial turf will resume later this week and hopefully the pitch will be ready for use by the miidle of next week. Please continue visiting this site for more news.
