After the bad start at the San Marino Cup, our teams picked up pace and earlier today both the Under-15's and Under-17's registered good wins to stay in the hunt for honours.
Coach Herman Bugeja led the Under-15's to two wins in matches played in the morning and late afternoon. In the first match they beat ASD TAVERNA of Italy 7-2 with goals by Kurt ZAMMIT, who got a hat-trick, James BRINCAT with two, Kyle FRENDO and Luke GALEA. In the afternoon, goals by James BRINCAT and Kurt ZAMMIT helped Mosta to an exciting 2-1 win over SOCA BOYS from the United States.
The Under-17's, under the guidance of Jason Camenzuli, followed up yesterday's win when Clayton BORG scored a brace to earn the Blues a 2-0 win over NORTHHAVEN of the United States. With this win the Under-17 finished second in their group and tomorrow they face SAO PAOLO of Brazil in the semi-final.
