KENNETH SPITERI - THE BLUES SECOND NEW SIGNING OF THE SEASON

The Blues today confirmed their second new signing of the season as Kenneth Spiteri put pen to paper on  a one-year deal. The tall defender who played with Qormi last season, will add height to the Mosta defence as well as pace.

Coach Oliver Spiteri welcomed Kenneth at the Charles Abela Stadium this afternoon where he was introduced to the players present for the last day of the pre-pre season training. The capture of the lanky defender was kept at low profile not to scupper the deal for a player who was interesting other teams, among them Premier Division clubs. But the Blues ambitions for this season persuaded Kenneth to join.

Kenneth is 24 years old and started his career at Hibernians whom he joined as a 13 year-old and and left when he turned 21. With Hibs he won every honour possible at youth level and was also part of their successive FA Trophy triumphs of 2006 and 2007. During his stay at Hibs he represented Malta at all youth levels and also played one unofficial senior international against Andalucia.

In season 2007-08 he moved to Birkirkara, but in the January transfer window he joined Msida St. Joseph with whom he stayed the following season. Qormi was his last club and now he begins a new adventure with Mosta. WELCOME KENNETH.
